Kentucky Chocolate Pecan Pie
A few years ago I signed up with Cook’s Illustrated to be a recipe tester, some the recipes they send out are are still in development so what is published in their magazines might be different then the one tried out. Last October they sent out a recipe for Kentucky Chocolate Walnut Pie to be tested. I am not much of a baker but in had chocolate and bourbon in it so I had to make it. The pie turned out great and was a really easy recipe to make. I decided to make the pie again this Easter and used pecans this time instead of walnuts and topped it off with a Bourbon whip cream. The pie was just as good as it was the first time, I think I will have to test this recipe a couple hundred more times just to be sure.
